BerryTek Sortivator

Three small but important improvements make the new BerryTek Color Sortivator the gentlest and most hygienic blueberry color sorter in the industry.

First, an integrated elevator transfers fruit from one machine to the next with a drop of less than 2 inches (5 cm).

Second, the path from the main channeled belt to the camera system has been shortened by a full 2 inches (5 cm).

Third, all new WECO machines feature integrated wash-in-place and dry-in-place systems.

The Sortivator series is available in a 40″ (102 cm) width.

Impulse2 Sortivator

The new Impulse2 has twice the processing power and four times the resolution of the original version, resulting in greater soft-sort accuracy.

The new Impulse2 Soft Sorter uses an array of 50 dynamic sensors to detect soft, overripe and damaged fruit, and it includes three key features that make it the gentlest and most hygienic fruit sorter. Jumbo Sizer

The new Jumbo Sizer integrates seamlessly into the existing Sortivator line to provide sizing options. Using our ChromaxHD camera system to measure each berry according to user input, it directs jumbo fruit to a redesigned cross conveyor for gentle handling. It also operates at the same throughput as the rest of our Sortivator line, delivering exceptional accuracy without sacrificing capacity. Finally, the Jumbo Sizer offers a reverse-sorting option, meaning that when the vast majority of the fruit is jumbo, the user can configure the touchscreen to remove only the smaller fruit.

Touchscreen Console

Introduced in 2021, the new Line-Control Touchscreen allows the user to control all WECO-manufactured cleaning-line equipment, from blowers and color and soft sorters to the inspection table.

Our new Sortivator machines, together with our new state-of-the-art software platform, require this new 19” (48.3 cm) touchscreen. Start, stop, line-speed adjustments, and wash-in-place/dry-in-place functions are controlled from this central touchscreen. The new display also provides expanded real-time sorting data. LAN and WAN networking capabilities are also included for future data collection and reporting.

Blower

WECO is proud to introduce an all-new, state-of-the-art Blower designed to integrate perfectly with WECO equipment. Blower features include:

Adjustable hopper for product flow
A single, low-torsion plastic chain belt that carries the fruit throughout the entire process
A catch pan beneath the hopper that collects small debris and keeps the area below the infeed clean
A compact, efficient linear fan design requiring only half the power of competing systems
Ultra-quiet fan operation
Two separate collection points for fruit and leaves/debris
A hood screen that can be cleaned easily without special tools
Built-in spray and drying bars for wash-in-place cleaning
Blower discharge with a transition of less than 2 inches (5 cm) to the next stage

The new WECO Blower is available in a 40″ (120 cm) width, with or without a line-control console.

ProcessTek

ProcessTek3 is the latest updated sorting platform for pre-IQF or wet-process fruit, using a longer single-channel belt. ProcessTek3 is a single-view optical sorter that uses our state-of-the-art ChromaxHD software to sort green, red, defective and shriveled fruit.

Available in 40” (102 cm) and 64″ (163 cm) widths.

VibeTek

This post-IQF dual-view optical sorter uses a vibratory pan-feed distribution system to deliver fruit to the optical cameras and prevent frozen fruit from sticking to the belts. Using two sets of cameras, VibeTek views 100% more surface area than a single-view sorter, greatly reducing the number of half-green or half-red berries. Advanced algorithms are also highly effective at sorting shriveled fruit. This high-capacity optical sorter provides a critical final clean-up sort after an IQF tunnel. It can also be used to repack frozen fruit during the off-season.
