Operating Principle

The 3U Vision Fenix Sorter Machine multi-sensor sorting system was developed especially for sorting electronic waste as well as three-dimensional materials. The 3U Vision Fenix Sorter Machine combines a high-speed conveyor with a vibratory feeder; for improved sorting quality, it eliminates the effects of material weight, shape, and abrasive properties. As a result, materials that were previously impossible to sort can now be processed.

Compared with conventional belt sorting systems, VARISORT COMPACToffers a compact design, reduced space requirements, and greater flexibility for production changes based on constantly changing market conditions. The inductive metal sensor detects all metal types down to 1.0 mm. The camera sensor enables processing of various materials as well as differently colored metals, with a material size range of 5 to 50 mm that can be sorted by color, shape, and/or size. If required, polymer materials can also be identified with a near-infrared sensor and sorted accordingly.
